Main Course accepts poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and other work for publication in our twice yearly print edition and as an online feature. Send us your best creative pieces. If you’re interested in sending us information about an event please visit POST AN EVENT.
GUIDELINES
Writers and photographers for Main Course PHL cover live bands, fashion events, Philadelphia events, art openings and other culturally significant events in the Philadelphia region.
Successful applications adhere to the following:
ALL APPLICANTS
In one email provide a one paragraph summary of how you think your work would contribute to Main Course.
Each applicant should include a resume with name, address, email address and telephone number in the top left hand corner in a .doc, .docx or .pdf with relevant links.
WRITERS
Include one extra paragraph about your writing experience and a sample of one piece written in the last year not to exceed 500 words. Partial sections from longer pieces are accepted.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
3-7 photographs at 72 dpi in one .zip file and a list of your equipment.
VIDEOGRAPHERS
Resume and a sample reel of 3-10 minutes of work in .zip file not too exceed 5MB or no more than two links to specific video pieces.
In the Subject of your email state WRITER, PHOTOGRAPHER or VIDEOGRAPHER
