September 19th 2015 is the date! The Lieutenant Joseph P. Kennedy Center is the place! As I travel the urban areas and beyond that our people reside in and see the current landscape of America I often hear, “Well, What am I supposed to do?” or, “How do we make a change?” With the issues of Police Brutality, un/under employment and subpar schools being major concerns throughout the country how can we address these as a community? That is why the State of the Black Parent Conference has been established. To those who are looking for an answer, September 19th 2015 is the date! The Lieutenant Joseph P. Kennedy Center is the place!
Whether you are a single parent struggling to make ends meet or a married couple living somewhat comfortably there will be certain obstacles that we all have in common. Focusing on Education, Economics and Enterprise the State of the Black Parent Conference is here to provide resources as well as knowledge to a community in need. To that end this Conference will bring together educators, activists, entrepreneurs, and organizations from across the country introducing them to the Community as a whole and specifically the Village of Harlem. September 19th 2015 is the date! The Lieutenant Joseph P. Kennedy Center is the place!
With a young developers showcase, workshops as well as a round table discussion & essential resources for the community the S.O.T.B.P. Conference will attempt to fill a void that is needed in our neighborhoods. We are here to cater to all of those that may need a little assistance/direction in these trying times. So to those that question what can be done or how can our goals be accomplished. To those that say no one is making a difference we at the State of the Black Parent Conference say – We are here and ready to work! All are invited to take part of this momentous occasion whether young or old, rich or poor, male or female come out and join us. Again, September 19th 2015 is the date! The Lieutenant Joseph P. Kennedy Center is the place!
